The General Surgery Didactic Program is an addition to Mercy Medical Center's expansive general surgery exposure. A wide variety of general surgical and subspecialty training is administered within the tertiary care facility and is taught by fellowship-trained faculty.

Nurses, physicians, surgeons, residents, medical students, and other interested health care professionals.

Learning Objectives

1. Understand history of Mechanical Ventilation.
2. Recognize indications for Mechanical Ventilation.
3. Discuss basics of Ventilator Management.
4. Discuss ARDS.
5. Understand Low Tidal Volume Ventilation.
6. Understand High Frequency Oscillatory Ventilation.
7. Discuss driving pressure and multifrequency oscillatory ventilation.
