Dr. Pelley’s academic projects are aimed at identifying a practical theory of learning that makes the most efficient use of faculty time and of student time. Overall goals are the development of student intelligence and the capacity to use that intelligence to solve problems. His most recent additions to his model of learning are the concepts of the Growth Mindset which increases intelligence and of Deliberate Practice which produces superior performance.
