Surgical Management of Esophageal Cancer
The General Surgery Didactic Program is an addition to Mercy Medical Center's expansive general surgery exposure. A wide variety of general surgical and subspecialty training is administered within the tertiary care facility and is taught by fellowship-trained faculty.
Nurses, physicians, surgeons, residents, medical students, and other interested health care professionals.
- Discuss the importance of evidence-based medicine and apply evidence-based medicine to each case study presented.
- Identify best practices for the surgical procedure being discussed and whether it is/was appropriate in this case.
- Critique patient outcomes for each case and discuss potential improvements or different manners in which to handle.
