The General Surgery Didactic Program is an addition to Mercy Medical Center's expansive general surgery exposure. A wide variety of general surgical and subspecialty training is administered within the tertiary care facility and is taught by fellowship-trained faculty.

Intended Audience

Nurses, physicians, surgeons, residents, medical students, and other interested health care professionals.

Learning Objectives

  1. Discuss rationale for local therapy of primary tumor.
  2. Review retrospective studies and discuss bias.
  3. Review randomized trials.
  4. Apply consideration of the metastatic lesion.
