We will kick off the week with special guest Dr. Todd Zakrajsek who will present workshops for faculty and staff as well as students. Many sessions and workshops will be presented by our own faculty and staff who have volunteered to share their own work and experiences to grow DMU’s culture of scholarship in teaching and learning.

Workshop Description

The idea of "replicability" is central to scientific research. However, researchers observe and recognize that the standards of reproducibility are quite unrealistic for some topics and among some disciplines. Where replication appears difficult or impossible, researchers are now proposing the standard of "reproducibility". The goal of this presentation is to discuss this issue and demonstrate an approach that is being proposed to require "reproducibility" in addition to peer-review of published research results.
