The General Surgery Didactic Program is an addition to Mercy Medical Center's expansive general surgery exposure. A wide variety of general surgical and subspecialty training is administered within the tertiary care facility and is taught by fellowship-trained faculty.

Intended Audience

Nurses, physicians, surgeons, residents, medical students, and other interested health care professionals.

Learning Objectives

1. Discuss the evidence for and against prostate cancer surgery.
2. Differentiate the different types of surgery performed for treatment of prostate cancer or prostate cancer treatment sequelae.
3. Integrate prostate cancer surgical history into the medical and surgical care of patients.
