    Expertise: Patients with special health care needs: infants and children of low-income, high-risk populations

    Brief Professional Resume: Dr. Leary joined the University of Iowa College of Dentistry, Department of Pediatric Dentistry in 2015. Prior to that, she was director of pediatric dentistry at a federally qualified health center and associate director of a pediatric dental residency program. Dr. Leary is a predoctoral and postdoctoral lecturer and clinical instructor for both the predoctoral and residency clinics.

    Clinical Activities: Dr. Leary is director of the Department Outreach Experiences, including the Muscatine Clinic and Forest City Outreach. She also sees private patients one day per week at the Center for Disabilities and Development and provides care under both general anesthesia and oral conscious sedation.

    Research Activities: Dr. Leary's research specialties include dental care for at-risk populations and working with public health organizations to provide dental care to pediatric patients in an evidenced-based approach.
