Parkinson's Disease Update

Mary Greeley Medical Center Grand Rounds is a multi-disciplinary clinical activity which serves to maintain, develop, or increase the knowledge, skills, and professional performance and relationships that a physician uses to provide services for patients, the public or the profession.  

Target Audience

Physicians, Advance Practice Professionals, Medical Students (rotating), and Non-Medical Students (rotating).

Purpose

A gap in knowledge exists regarding complications and treatments in Parkinson's disease and the best use of Parkinson's medications. This activity will address these issues.

Learning Objectives

  • Identify the appropriate treatments for the various problems and severity of Parkinson's disease.
  • Discuss the difference between Parkinson's disease and Parkinson syndromes.
  • Choose the best medicines for complications of Parkinsonian patients.
