Dr. Dayton earned his doctor of podiatric medicine degree and master’s in podiatric medical education at the California College of Podiatric Medicine, San Francisco. Board-certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery in foot surgery and reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery, he practices with UnityPoint Clinic in Fort Dodge, where he also is the director of Trinity Regional Medical Center’s podiatric medicine and surgery residency. He has held a variety of clinical and administrative appointments, including at the California College of Podiatric Medicine, Stanford University School of Medicine, DMU/CPMS, Trimark Physicians Group and the Iowa Board of Podiatric Medical Examiners. A board member and past president of the Iowa Podiatric Medical Association, Dr. Dayton has co-authored many peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters and has presented numerous national and international lectures. He has served as section editor for the Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery for the past five years.
