Mary Greeley Medical Center Grand Rounds is a multi-disciplinary clinical activity which serves to maintain, develop, or increase the knowledge, skills, and professional performance and relationships that a physician uses to provide services for patients, the public or the profession.  

Target Audience

Physicians, Advance Practice Professionals, Nurses, Ancillary Staff, and Medical Students (rotating).

Purpose

Poor identification of bipolar disorder increases suicide risk and decreases quality of life secondary to lack of treatment. This activity will show how greater awareness increases likelihood to accessing treatment.

Learning Objectives

• Know symptoms of bipolar disorder and appropriate screening questions/tools.
• Identify uses of ketamine in depression and the associated risks/unknowns.
• Behavioral Medicine at McFarland: what it is and how to access.
