Educational Need
Clinicians often face challenges in tailoring medication regimens to individual patients while minimizing adverse effects and interactions. Education is needed to strengthen skills in selecting appropriate doses, routes, and duration, and in anticipating drug-to-drug interactions based on pharmacologic principles.
Learning Objectives
- Devise appropriate dose, route, and duration for current medications in an individual patient’s treatment plan.
- Predict drug-to-drug interactions based on a medication’s mechanism of action and pharmacokinetic profile.
- Develop an effective and safe medication regimen tailored to individual patient characteristics.
