Educational Need
Assessing a person with new-onset psychosis involves a detailed medical and psychiatric history, mental status examination, and possibly lab tests or neuroimaging to identify the underlying cause. Gathering information from family members can also be crucial for making an accurate diagnosis and effective treatment plan. Prompt assessment and intervention can significantly improve the prognosis and reduce the risk of complications.
