The General Surgery Didactic Program is an addition to Mercy Medical Center's expansive general surgery exposure. A wide variety of general surgical and subspecialty training is administered within the tertiary care facility and is taught by fellowship-trained faculty.

Intended Audience

Nurses, physicians, surgeons, residents, medical students, and other interested health care professionals.

Learning Objectives

1. Discuss the importance of evidence-based medicine and apply evidence-based medicine to each case study presented.
2. Identify best practices for the surgical procedure being discussed.
3. Critique patient outcomes for surgical disease and discuss potential improvements or different manners in which to handle.
