The General Surgery Didactic Program is an addition to Mercy Medical Center's expansive general surgery exposure. A wide variety of general surgical and subspecialty training is administered within the tertiary care facility and is taught by fellowship-trained faculty.

Intended Audience

Nurses, physicians, surgeons, residents, medical students, and other interested health care professionals.

Learning Objectives

1. Understand recent major changes in epidemiology and risk factors related to head and neck cancer.
2. Discuss new treatment options for oropharynx cancer.
3. Discuss management of primary hyperparathyriodism.
