Purpose

Mary Greeley Medical Center Grand Rounds is a multi-disciplinary clinical activity which serves to maintain, develop, or increase the knowledge, skills, and professional performance and relationships that a physician uses to provide services for patients, the public or the profession.

Target Audience

Physicians, Advance Practice Professionals, Nurses, Ancillary Staff, Medical Students (Rotating), Non-Medical Students (Rotating), and Healthcare Administrators.

Learning Objectives

• Discuss the importance of including a broad range of physician and other specialists to address early diagnosis, quality of life, ethics, and relevant topics related to breast cancer patients.
• Determine the benefit in discussion of treatment options for breast cancer patients to offer a collaborative recommendation.
• Effectively manage patient resources and make decisions which reflect the breast cancer patient's goals for treatment.
• Describe the benefit to patients of having an Accredited Breast Center.
