Enhanced Recovery in Abdominal Surgery

The General Surgery Didactic Program is an addition to Mercy Medical Center's expansive general surgery exposure. A wide variety of general surgical and subspecialty training is administered within the tertiary care facility and is taught by fellowship-trained faculty.

Intended Audience

Nurses, physicians, surgeons, residents, medical students, and other interested health care professionals.

Learning Objectives

  1. Understand relevant history of abdominal surgery.
  2. Discuss multimodal approaches to abdominal surgery.
  3. Understand and apply best practices in preoperative care, intraoperative care, and postoperative care.
