Effectiveness of Liposomal Bupivacaine in Colorectal Surgery

The General Surgery Didactic Program is an addition to Mercy Medical Center's expansive general surgery exposure. A wide variety of general surgical and subspecialty training is administered within the tertiary care facility and is taught by fellowship-trained faculty.

Intended Audience

Nurses, physicians, surgeons, residents, medical students, and other interested health care professionals.

Learning Objectives

  1. Evaluate the effectiveness of liposomal bupivacaine in controlling pain.
  2. Review postoperative outcomes and usage of opioid pain medication after surgery utilizing liposomal bupivacaine.
