Target Audience

Nursing, Physicians, Radiologists, Pathologists, Lymphedema Therapists, residents, medical students, and other interested health care professionals who are involved in the management of patients with breast cancer and breast health issues.

Purpose

Provide current education in the diagnosis and overall treatment of breast cancer as related to breast imaging, diagnostic procedures, surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, reconstruction, and lymphedema therapy.

Learning Objectives

  • Discuss various medical/surgical/radiological diagnoses and treatment strategies utilized in breast cancer and breast health issues.
  • Identify the importance of a team approach to the diagnosis, overall treatment plan, and follow up care to breast cancer and breast health issues. 
  • Discuss current issues related to breast health and breast cancer.
