Bloodborne Pathogens

The course will take approximately 30 minutes to complete. Learners must pass a post-assessment with 80% and complete an evaluation.

Target Audience

This online course is open only to DMU faculty, staff, and students. 

 Learning Objectives

  • Define "bloodborne pathogen" and give an example
  • Briefly explain what is meant by the term "Universal Precautions."
  • Recognize the sign and/or label that indicates a bloodborne Pathogen hazards
  • Give an example of modes of transmission in the workplace
  • Differentiate between an "engineering control" and a "work practice control."
