
Bed Bugs in the Healthcare Environment
Mary Greeley Medical Center Grand Rounds is a multi-disciplinary clinical activity which serves to maintain, develop, or increase the knowledge, skills, and professional performance and relationships that a physician uses to provide services for patients, the public or the profession.
Target Audience
Physicians, mid-level providers, nurses and healthcare administrators.
Learning Objectives
- Understand how bed bugs are transmitted.
- Acknowledge there is very little to fear about bed bugs.
- State the MGMC process to follow if a patient is discovered with bed bugs.
- Identify procedures to cancel if bed bugs are found.
- Recognize that bed bugs do not spread disease & do not require isolation precautions.
