This presentation was originally a part of DMU Clinic Grand Rounds on February 5, 2015 and is approximately 45 minutes. 

Objectives

  1. State the classification of hypothermia based on clinical signs and basic assessment.
  2. Demonstrate the basics of field and emergency department treatment of hypothermia.
  3. Recognize and be prepared to treat EKG findings of hypothermia.
  4. Identify ways to preserve their own function in harsh environments.
