This course is open to DMU students only. Registration is not necessary. 
 

Purpose

Do you want to know how to write a quality essay?  Have you been told you could use some supports in writing? Come build an essay on a house, which will not come tumbling down.

Objectives

  • Discuss thesis statements
  • Build an outline/house for an essay 
  • Create topic sentences to support their structure 
  • Write a conclusion to complete their essay

Des Moines University is located on a 22-acre campus in the heart of Des Moines, Iowa. Just west of downtown on Grand Avenue, the University is located in one of Des Moines' most prestigious neighborhoods.
