AAMC Virtual Medical Education Event: Find Your path – Learn from Experts – Advance Medical Education

The AAMC Virtual Medical Education Event will present innovations in medical education and career-advancing strategies. By participating in this event, participants will:

  • learn the common language of competency-based education across the continuum - what are EPAs, how do they connect with competencies and milestones, and what does all of this mean to you in your teaching role?
  • hear from experts about how to manage your career and excel in medical education: 
  • Topics to be covered include:
    • finding mentors
    • preparing your portfolio
    • continuing your education
    • identifying professional development opportunities
    • and presenting your work
  • catch up with a sampling of what was discussed at the AAMC’s recent Medical Education Meeting, including the plenaries, select concurrent sessions, and Research in Medical Education (RIME) research papers.
  • hear Dan Hunt, MD, MBA talk about LCME’s move to continuous improvement cycles and consider how your work contributes to the overall wellbeing of your institution, your learners, and your faculty.
  • eListen to leaders in medical education where it’s most convenient for you--your office, home, or the call room at the hospital. A selection of recorded sessions from the 2015 AAMC Medical Education Meeting are included allowing access to the thought-provoking information shared by some of our nation’s most respected leaders in medical education.

Who Should Attend

This newest option in the AAMC’s medical education catalogue is a learning opportunity designed specifically for early to mid-career medical school staff, administrators, medical educators, and faculty.
