This class will introduce you to the key elements you & your students need to know to help you accomplish your clinical, research, and educational goals.
Audio, graphics, and video can be found in multiple places. This class is not meant to be exhaustive, but to highlight key resources available from the library to procure audio, video, graphics, and other clinically relevant multimedia for your teaching and research.
By the end of class participants will be able to independently explain key concepts and/or perform the following skills as indicated by the observation of the instructor and student’s self‐assessment:
- Explain Copyright and attribution issues for multimedia content licensed by the library.
- Identify major resources for image, sound, and video content.
- Practice downloading different media types from the following resources: ClinicalKey, Netters Reference Collection, VisualDX, UptoDate, Essential Evidence Plus, AccessMedicine & Access Surgery, IMC ‐ Radiologic Anatomy and Clinical Human Embryology, and AnatomyTV.
- Identify how to locate further training materials from the DMU library at: http://lib.dmu.edu/findit/multimedia.
