Update of Neuromodulation for Treatment of Complex, Chronic Pain

  • Neuromodulation excompasses a number of treatment modalities that exert their effect by affecting the nervous, typically utilizing implantable techniques. 
  • The role of neuromodulation for chronic pain will be discussed.
  • Recent updates (ie. High-frequency spinal cord stimulation, burst spinal cord stimulation and dorsal root ganglion stimulation) in neuromodulation for the treatment of complex chronic pain, utilizing a case-based discussion will be held.
