Continuing Education Session: Rehabilitative Ultrasound Imaging

  • Describe the differences between rehabilitative ultrasound imaging (RUSI), therapeutic (thermal) ultrasound and intervention ultrasound.
  • Discuss the terminology associated with ultrasound imaging.
  • Locate the appropriate knobs on the ultrasound machine to obtain an image (knobology). 
  • Recognize how the type, orientation and alignment of the probe can influence the images that are obtained. 
  • Generate an identifiable musculoskeletal ultrasound image.
