  2. Decide on appropriate testing for various scenarios.

Chronic Daily Headache: Considering Non-Migraine Diagnoses

  1. Discuss the prevalence and demographic characteristics of chronic daily headaches.
  2. Formulate a differential diagnosis for chronic daily headaches, considering primary and secondary causes.
  3. Utilize appropriate diagnostic tools and imaging studies to identify secondary causes of chronic daily headaches.
  4. Outline appropriate treatment options for chronic headaches, including pharmacological and nonpharmacological interventions.

Cross-Sectional Neuroanatomy and Neuroimaging

  1. Identify the ventricles and subarachnoid cisterns and relate these to common pathological features.
  2. Identify major brain areas, including deep forebrain structures like the basal ganglia, internal capsule, and thalamus, and relate these to common pathological features.
  3. Review the vascular supply of each area identified and relate these to common stroke patterns.

Clinical Update for Individualized Treatment Plans for Patients with Generalized Myasthenia Gravis 
James F. Howard, MD, FAAN, University of North Carolina School of Medicine

  1. Review the disease symptom heterogeneity of generalized myasthenia gravis and the rationale for individualized therapy to optimize outcomes through periods of waxing and waning symptom burden.
  2. Analyze clinical trial data, including real-world data for the clinical applications of FcRn and complement inhibitors in managing gMG.
  3. Discuss the effects of individual patient and disease specifics on gMG treatment planning, dosing recommendations, and the management of symptom-free periods.
  4. Review the impact of comorbidities on treatment goals and outcomes for patients with gMG.

  1. Review the most common presentations of neurosyphilis and the high morbidity associated with this diagnosis.
  2. Develop a comprehensive differential diagnosis of stroke in the young, particularly in high-risk populations. 
  3. Review workup and diagnosis of a classically challenging and under-recognized stroke entity.
