Physicians, advanced practice clinicians, nurses, coding specialists, medical assistants, sonographers, and EMS providers.
Description
Join UpLift and Disability Rights Iowa for Medicaid 101, a Lunch and Learn webinar focused on the basics of Iowa Medicaid. Expert-Certified Benefits Counselors and a Litigation Attorney will give an overview of Iowa’s Medicaid program and walk attendees through the various ways people qualify, the roles and responsibilities of the Managed Care Organizations (MCOs), where Iowans can find assistance, and Medicaid appeal rights.
This webinar is a high-level overview of Medicaid. Presenters will not discuss upcoming changes related to H.R. 1, including work requirements and Iowa Medicaid waivers.
Learning Objectives
- Describe the importance of Medicaid as a social safety net.
- Connect clients with Medicaid resources related to enrollment, managed care organizations, and appeals.
- Describe at least three different Medicaid eligibility groups.
