Jun Dai, PhD
Associate Professor, Des Moines University
Dr. Dai was trained as a physician with a specialty in clinical nutrition at the Sun Yat-sen University of Medical Sciences. She then received a M.Sc. in nutrition and food hygiene, concentrating on clinical nutrition. She subsequently pursued a PhD in Nutrition and Health sciences with a concentration on Epidemiology from Emory University. Dr. Dai’s research focuses on cardiovascular epidemiology with a focus on modifiable factors, such as nutrition, inflammation, and oxidative stress. Prior to joining Des Moines University, she served as an Assistant Professor in the Division of Epidemiology, Department of Medicine at the Institute for Medicine and Public Health at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN.
