Bloodborne Pathogens

This on-line course is open to DMU faculty, staff, and students only.  The course will take approximately 45 minutes to complete. Participants will be required to pass a post-assessment with 80% and complete an evaluation. 
 

 Learning Objectives

  • Define "bloodborne pathogen" and give an example.
  • Briefly explain what is meant by the term "Universal Precautions".
  • Recognize the sign and/or label that indicated a bloodborne Pathogen hazards.
  • Give an example of modes of transmission in the workplace.
  • Differentiate between an "engineering control" and a "work practice control".
