This talk will be a summary of some of the work that Dr. Spoctor has been engaged in looking at speech and language circuits in chimpanzees. He will also talk about the effects of aging and degenerative processes on cerebral asymmetry and cytoarchitecture in humans and how looking at these in analogue species could be of utility to understanding the biological basis for variation in brain function and disease liability.
