Gamechangers in Pharmacy and Medicine Update

Mary Greeley Medical Center Grand Rounds is a multi-disciplinary clinical activity which serves to maintain, develop, or increase the knowledge, skills, and professional performance and relationships that a physician uses to provide services for patients, the public or the profession.  

Target Audience

Physicians, Advance Practice Professionals, Nurses, Medical Students (rotating), Non-Medical Students (rotating), and Healthcare Administrators.

Purpose

  • A general update in pharmacotherapy for the generalist provider, this covers new studies guidelines and new drugs on the market that will help participants use these medications more effectively.

Learning Objectives

  • List selected Gamechangers that affect your practice.
  • Describe reasons the selected Gamechangers were chosen and how they affect the way pharmacists care for physicians.
  • Describe possible solutions to the clinical problems listed.
  • Assess the clinical trials used to support this presentation.
  • Apply the information present to your specific practice.
