Communities of Practice (CoPs) bring together faculty and collaborators with shared interests to explore, exchange, and innovate in key areas of educational practice.

We currently offer two active CoPs:

  • Student Engagement in Learning, facilitated by Brian Pinney, PhD, CEE Academic Support Assistant Director/Assistant Professor. It focuses on strategies that foster meaningful student participation, agency, and co-creation in academic settings.
  • Artificial Intelligence in Health Professions Education, facilitated by Nehad El-Sawi, PhD, Assistant Vice President for Academic Innovations and Enhancement. It explores emerging uses of AI by students and faculty, ethical guardrails, and curricular innovations shaping the future of teaching and learning.

We welcome both new and returning participants. Reach out to the group facilitators if you're interested in joining a community!
