Target Audience
The primary target audience is athletic trainers, emergency medical technicians, and first responders; however, all interested healthcare professionals are invited to attend.
Learning Objectives
- Discuss the current research and practices for selective spinal motion restriction.
- Apply the most appropriate WDM EMS protocols (A2, F4, F6, G46, G43, and A5) to manage various simulated patients presenting with sports-related injuries.
- Coordinate a simulated patient's response, care, and safe extrication with a team of varying expertise and specialized equipment.
- Discuss the procedures for obtaining consent to transport minor patients with parents on or off-site.
