Purpose

We all hold unconscious beliefs or implicit biases about various social identities. As we collectively work to improve race relations, address injustices, and equip ourselves to move closer toward an anti-racist society, implicit bias training is a tool that will empower us with the necessary skills, education, knowledge, and ability to contribute to understanding one another.

Learning Objectives

  1. Define implicit bias.
  2. Recognize how implicit bias develops.
  3. State the role of implicit bias in our behavior.
  4. Mitigate implicit bias in behavior and decision-making.
