  1. Describe the purpose and focus of pediatric rehabilitation and our community's system of care for children and families with disabling disorders.
  2. Summarize how pediatric rehabilitation can assist physical therapists in effectively caring for their patients and families with impairments and disabilities.

Fred Klingbeil, MD
Medical Director of ChildServe's Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine Program

Dr. Klingbeil is the only board-certified pediatric physiatrist practicing in the state of Iowa. He is a renowned expert in the field of pediatric rehabilitation medicine. He earned his medical degree from Wayne State University and completed his residency at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan. His extensive authorships, panel and presentation experience includes providing clinical education at Cleveland Clinic Children’s Hospital for Rehabilitation, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City.
